Digital Brightlingsea was set up to give local businesses, organisations and public information campaigns a simple way to reach people around Brightlingsea.
A good example of that was on screen this week at Brightlingsea Regent FC, where an Essex County Council advert for its Electrifying Essex EV event was running in the clubhouse while people were there for the England game.
It is a small example, but it shows why local screen networks can be useful.
Not everyone sees a Facebook post. Not everyone follows council pages. Not everyone reads the local paper. Even when information is important, it can still be missed if it only appears online or in channels people no longer use regularly.
Digital screens in everyday community spaces help bridge that gap.
The Digital Brightlingsea network currently includes 9 screens around the town, in places such as the Post Office, Spar, Brightlingsea Regent FC, Brightlingsea Community Centre, the British Legion, Brightlingsea Bowls Club, French Marine Chandlery, Stoneridge Estate Agents and the Boat Park and Ride.
These are places people already visit as part of normal life.
That means messages can be seen by residents, visitors, sports club members, shoppers, families, boat users and people moving around the town.
For local businesses, that means affordable visibility.
For public information campaigns, it means another way to reach people beyond social media, email lists and traditional local press.
Campaigns on Digital Brightlingsea start from £35 per month plus VAT, and adverts can be supplied as static images or animated MP4s in Full HD.
